OUTER BANKS SENTINEL
First Flight High School art students and Manteo High School art and photography students have submitted works for a silent auction held by Stripers Bar & Grille on Roanoke Island. Stripers is hosting the silent auction on local high school art depicting the striped bass or "rock-fish" that's familiar on the Stripers logo in an effort to raise funds for the high school art departments and provide venue for student artwork.
From black and white sketches of striped bass to striper mermaids to guitar playing stripers and even a bucket o'stripers from a photography student, the work is creative and diverse. Stripers Bar & Grille Director of Operations Tom Lozupone hung the show before opening for lunch on Thursday, Oct. 27.
